My book sales at comicons and book fairs in 2024, made into a sweet and simple graph (graph made here). And you can see I've not done too badly, that's an average of £245 per show. Standing behind a table all day for £245. Okay, I make more money doing classes, but it's better than a poke i the eye with a sharp stick. Where did I fare best?
1) Cardiff Showmasters Con in October. By far the best in fact, since the Saturday is at the top of my chart, with the Sunday coming in at sixth place.
2) Swansea Stars Of Time, April. A Sunday only event, too.
3) Barry Collector Con, May. I've bundled two days together there, but doesn't it give Wales a nice showing at the top end of the chart?
4) Gloucester Creed November and Wrexham October, only a few quid between them, and again it's Wales doing well.
5) Coventry Striking Events, August.
Worth looking at where I didn't do very well for book sales. And though you can't see it cos I've bundled Saturday and Sunday together, LFCC Showmasters in July was not a good one for sales. The Sunday saw me only taking fifty quid, worst day's taking of the year. After that Bedford, where I could only make the very quiet Sunday and missed the busy Saturday was a bit of a letdown, though on top of £52 of books I did sell one piece of art for £250 which rather made up for it.
