Romeo & Juliet - September's work in progress

Having made an excellent start on drawing Romeo and Juliet through August (between August 4th and 29th I drew or laid out pages 28 to 107), the work continues in September.

Mon Sept 1st - P93 (1 page pencilled and inked)

Tues Sept 2 - P94 - 99 (6 pages pencilled & inked)

Weds Sept 3 - P100 - 107 (8 pages pencilled & inked)

Thurs Sept 4 - P108 - P125 (18 pages laid out, some pencilled). Plus I did the maths to work out how long the book's going to end up. It looks like it'll be 183 pages long (though that can change, when I decide some pictures will be bigger than others. Let us see).

Fri Sept 5 - P126 - 133 (8 pages laid out and pencilled), P108 - 110 (3 pages inked).

Mon Sept 8 - P111 - 121 (11 pages inked)

Tues Sept 9 - P123 - 131 (10 pages inked. Oh and I launched the Kickstarter at 9 in the morning, and by midday it had reached its £750 goal. By 8pm tonight it's at £1112)

Weds Sept 10 - P132 - 140 (9 pages pencilled and inked, and one coloured (above). Kickstarter stuck at £1135 all day.

Thurs Sept 11 - P141 - 145 (5 pages pencilled and inked, two coloured, three more pencilled)

Fri Sept 12 - P142 - 152 (8 pages pencilled and inked, up to end of Act Four)

Mon Sept 15 - P153 - 165 (13 pages laid out, part pencilled)

Tues Sept 16 - All pages laid out! Up to page 179 (turns out that's the last page) with pencils up to page 168. Very satisfying.

Weds Sept 17 - All 179 pages pencilled, and the final page inked and mostly coloured too. V good.

Thurs Sept 18 - inked up to P161 (9 pages, 17 to go)

Mon Sept 22 - 4 pages (up to P165)

Tues Sept 23 - 4 pages (up to P169)

Thurs Sept 25 - 5 pages coloured (in hotel room in Rotherham)

Fri Sept 26 - 10 pages coloured (in hotel room at Lakes where I’ve been able to zap the PDF to publishers phones at rights meetings )

Mon Sept 29 - 3 pages (up to P172)

Tues Sept 30 - ALL DRAWN! I even added two pages to the endning, so now it's a total of 181 pages. They've all been inked. Now I need to get the Kickstarter closed, draw the party scenes, colour the whole thing and see if we can do that in a month.

So, to confirm, I drew pages 1 - 27 in early 2024. Then I resumed work on August 4th this year and drew pages 28 - 92 (64 pages) in August, and pages 93 - 181 (88 pages) in September.
