"The finest pair of performing socks in all existence" - Metro

"The finest pair of performing socks in all existence". Metro's words, not ours, in a nice little plug in today's issue. Yes, now you ask, I did have to pop into Temple Meads to pick up a copy.

And thanks to the good punters, and the marvellous staff and promotional team, of The Spread Eagle in Croydon for giving us a sellout show last night. An audience who were at least 75% new to us, and seemed to like Minging Detectives, as long as groaning at puns isn't as bad a thing as some people think. The venue's promotion is top hole, from the posters and the programme to a great online presence and even a specially made Socks t-shirt that Seb the technician was wearing (didn't get a photo of it sadly).

This preview season has been characterised by good venues delivering good audiences through good promotion, so full marks all round, from Leeds, Croydon and Sheffield via Birmingham, Cheltenham and Brighton, to the forthcoming shows in Cardiff and Bedford hopefully.  Fingers crossed the good punters of Edinburgh like the show as much as you lot have been doing (and that the improvements we make between shows is making things better not worse.)

The Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppet Theatre are at The Gilded Balloon throughout Edinburgh Fringe 2015, August 5th - 30th. Tickets are on sale now.
