Facebook ad experiment

Having got my Amazon/Lulu book sales through, and them only totalling 12 quid for last month, I'm experimenting with a Facebook ad to see if it drives traffic. It was set up on Tues 17 Sept, spending no more than £2.25 a day.

As of Weds morning it's had 6 link clicks, reached 478, made 504 impressions, and I've spent £2.02

We'll see how ads affect sales. In August most of my sales was 7 colouring books.

Aug - 7 colouring books
July - 12 "
June - 9 "
May - 24 (Eurovision time of course)
April - 13
March - 7
Feb - 6
Jan - 16 (Christmas money?)
Dec - 62 (Blimey, forgot Christmas was such a busy time)

Update: Mon Sept 23rd am: 100 clicks, reach 2326, impressions 2837, I've spent £13.02
Mon Sept 30th: 235 clicks, reach 4741, imp 6459, I've spent £28.76. Cost per click 12p
Tues Oct 1: 246 clicks, reach 4914, imp 6941, spend £30.52. Cost per click 12p

Weds Oct 9th - ended the campaign. 363 clicks, reach 7832, imp 12,078, spend £48.39. Cost per click 13p

Final total (Oct 16) 376 click, reach 8158, imp 12,672, spend £50.39. Cost per click 13p.

I've had my Lulu/Amazon sales for September and they come to £13.26, not much more than the previous month. Whether this ad campaign has also led to 3 or 4 sales of Richard The Third via D2D I can't be sure. But, having spent nearly fifty quid for less than fifteen quid's worth of sales doesn't seem to be a Return On Investment to me.
