Times change. Once upon a time, December was a wicked month for me selling books. At one time I seemed to have cracked selling them online (here’s me selling 167 books in December 2021 on Amazon KDP). Then I lost it. (Here’s me having my KDP account closed, for life, in November 2022). Then I found it again. (Here’s me selling 72 books, on Amazon, via Lulu, in December 2023). Then slightly lost it. (Here’s me selling 38 books via Lulu /Amazon last December, as they continue to remove them from sale and hardly approve any for Global Distribution).
In the past couple of years it’s been selling books live at schools and comicons that’s been my big winner. But not in December. Above you can see the biggest single lot of comics I sold this month, all to Laurence who is by far my best customer (and art client) of the year. The general public and I haven’t really crossed paths this month.
