Cabourn-Smith & Moore - new Comic Cuts The Panel Show

I hate to have favourites, but I listened to the latest episode of my podcast Comic Cuts The Panel Show, and I have to say I really enjoyed this one. If anyone's never listened to the podcast, this is the place to start, with Margaret Cabourn Smith and Ian Moore bringing in panels from a diverse pair of strips, which inspired the most delightful conversations.

Lots of Donald Trump - comics by kids


Comics created with kids this month in schools and art centres, hither, thither and thon. And my, hasn't Donald Trump been a popular choice this month?


Ropetackle Shoreham was actually in May, and what a lovely pair of titles, eh?


Chelmsford Museum was a one off class and a treat


Godstowe Prep only had me in for a one off class, but then managed to buy 31 copies of Romeo and Juliet, despite there only being 30 of them in the class. Well done Godstowe. 


By contrast, Riverbridge, Staines, had me in for a day and a half, teaching 90 kids, and ended up buying no books. The kids wanted them, the office had other ideas. I’ve ranted about it on Facebook, I needn’t repeat myself here. Good classes, great kids. Shame about the books.

The celebrities these seven (plus I've added the two mini classes I did at the Big Malarkey Festival in Hull, who didn't produce comics) groups chose to appear in my demonstration strip were Donald Trump, Justin Bieber, Cristiano Ronaldo (twice), Kim Kardsahian, Taylor Swift, Harry Kane, and Michael Jackson (twice).
