And just when you think it's gone quiet, the Sitcom Trials return. Once more in Manchester.
Did I mention there was a prize for winning the recent Manchester Sitcom Trials? No? That would be because, to be honest, I didn't know. But there was. The prize was for the winning sitcom to be staged as part of the Manchester Comedy Festival in 2012, and that's exactly what's going to happen.
So Vince Stadon's winning sitcom, Checkpoint Dave, will be performed at the Lass O'Gowrie on Feb 20 & 21 2012. Details coming nearer the time. (Vince, if you haven't heard from Lisa yet, she's getting in touch, don't worry).
And on Feb 21st we'll also be performing another brand new Manchester Sitcom Trials. The call will go out for scripts and writer-performer teams sometime soon, and the method of script selection will be announced then. As for the prize? Well, you can assume the offer to perform the winner in full at the Lass O'Gowrie remains on the table. Anything else, we shall have to see.
So that's...
