Dear Hxxxxx,
I have to write to say how very disappointed I am at the cancellation of my scheduled booking to visit you with my Comic Art Masterclasses on Weds 21st Jan.
When we had a face to face Teams meeting in October, I thought nothing could have confirmed the booking more solidly. Our emails following that seemed, to me, to double confirm it. I put it in my diary and it remained confirmed as far as I knew.
You sent an email on 16th December with timetable details, which I didn't reply to until this week, which was possibly an oversight on my part. Though, as I say, I would be happy to do what you had timetabled.
For you to tell me that you are suddenly cancelling my visit because I didn't reply to an email sent in the run up to the Christmas break is unprecedented and unbelievable.
Obviously I made no written contractual agreement with you in advance so can claim no compensation for this short notice cancellation, or the travel expenses I've accrued. However I shall make steps to be better prepared in negotiations with new clients in future.
I am very sorry I wasn't able to visit the pupils of Cxxxxxxxx School, all the very best
