Season Two of Comic Cuts The Panel Show continues to rumble on, with me managing to release a new episode every fortnight right through the summer and into the autumn. Whether it's setting the world alight listener-wise it's hard to tell. Well, actually, not that hard if I look at the statistics. Which we shall do together now. Here comes a table of the episodes of Comic Cuts The Panel Show, in Top Of The Pops reverse chart order, with stats for audio episodes, video episodes, and improvement since I last measured them on June 6th.
• The Alan Moore & Steve Moore interview from 1982 being far and away the most listened to episode of the new season, continuing to attract listeners all the time. And being the second most watched video, despite having no actual video content.
• Mike Collins & Ali Cook adding listeners all the time, while mostly episodes from the new season stop getting big numbers after their first week or so.
• Adam Roche and Hannah Berry being the biggest growing episode of season one, continuing to bump themselves up the chart.
• Those video stats, in particular Nerine Skinner & Steve Noble, whose unedited video version has outstripped even Alan Moore, with 326 views.
It's worth remembering that, with every episode getting at least an additional 3 downloads every couple of months, this explains why the Jeevani Charika/Alan Snow and Emma Byrne/PJ Holden eps are so high up the chart, because they were each, for a long time, the last episode released, and sat there attracting all our first-time listeners over the four or five years the podcast was inactive. Likewise almost all of season one has more listeners than season two. This will change over time.
Onwards and upwards, more episodes are in production, and show little sign of stopping quite yet.
