Me and my photo in the programme for the Lakes International Comic Festival where I started the month with what looked to me like the biggest single sales day of the year so far.

LIVE SALES
Saturday Oct 3 - LICAF Kendal day one - 41 books, 4 comics (£435)
Okay, it turns out to be second to Hi Vis last month where I sold even more. But given that I spent two hours in the morning doing a class at the Library, this was a pretty impressive run, selling out of a couple of key books, embarrassingly.

Memo for next time: make sure you are fully stocked with the popular books! Romeo & Juliet in colour, and Richard The Third in colour both sold out, as did the Shakespeare Omnibus and Space Elain. Admittedly I had ordered books and they all arrived back at home while I was away, too late (I hadn't left enough time for them to come after big sales at Hi Vis and Marlborough, so must remember: there is no harm in over-stocking. I sold 12 colour Romeos and 5 colour Richards and would have sold more if I'd had them, ditto Omnbusses.)
9 Oct - King Arthurs Wincanton - 1 book (£8)
1 x FM
(more orders to come, after the fact, I think)
(above: my new table cloth makes its debut at Bristol Creed. Did it attract a near-record number of people to my table, or was that down to the organisers who delivered another super-busy event, where the traffic and sales kept going right to the last minute?)
