★★★★ "Howling with laughter from the opening moments to the finale" - one4review

A lovely 4 star review for Socks Do Shakespeare, from one4 review:

Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppets Do Shakespeare 4**** - One4Review

Kev F Sutherland is the inspiration behind the Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppets, a Fringe institution that has been a must show for many over the years.

Now I must confess that I am not a Shakespeare fan so hesitated in booking for this, but with the skills they have the Socks do a grand job of making it accessible to everyone aficionado of the bard or not. The show runs through the normal mix of gags, puns, some old some new but all funny, pastiches of well-known songs, the bickering between the socks themselves, improvised lines when things go slightly astray and somehow managing to do ‘costume changes’ along the way make this a delightful way to spend an hour. The capacity audience where howling with laughter from the opening moments to the finale.

Okay you are never going to get any groundbreaking material here, but what is there in abundance is an hour of light hearted pure entertainment that makes everyone leave with a smile on their faces and truly entertains. And isn’t that what it is supposed to be about?
